Getting to Getsemaní
Located in the lively Getsemaní neighborhood, right on Avenida del Pedregal. We are just a five-minute walk from Cartagena’s historic center, making us easily accessible from all parts of the city. You’ll find us next to Juan Valdez Café on Calle Media Luna, inside Santuario Hostels.
Getting Here from the Airport
The fastest way to reach us from Rafael Núñez International Airport is by taxi, Uber, or InDrive, with a ride of 15 to 20 minutes. Just provide your driver with our address.
For public transport, take Transcaribe T102 to Mall Plaza, transfer to T100 or T101, and exit at La Matuna. From there, it’s a five-minute walk to Santuario.
Getting Here from the Bus Terminal
If you’re arriving from the Cartagena bus terminal, a taxi, Uber, or InDrive will take approximately 45 minutes to reach Santuario. For a more budget-friendly option, take the Transcaribe route X104 toward Muelle de la Bodeguita, which takes about one hour. Get off at La Matuna station, and from there, it’s only a short five-minute walk to our location.

Traveling from Cartagena to Playa Bonita
Playa Bonita Tayrona is located at Km 46 on the Santa Marta – Riohacha road, in Buritaca, Magdalena. There are several ways to reach the hotel from Cartagena, depending on your preferred mode of transport.
For the fastest and most comfortable option, a private car or taxi can be arranged. The drive takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, following the coastal highway through Barranquilla and Santa Marta before reaching Buritaca. The hotel offers trusted drivers who can pick you up upon request.
If traveling by bus, take a direct service from Cartagena to Santa Marta. From the Santa Marta bus terminal, board a local bus heading toward Palomino and ask the driver to drop you off at Hotel Playa Bonita. From the main road, it’s a 10-15 minute walk to the hotel.
For those driving their own vehicle, Playa Bonita provides free parking for guests. Simply follow the main highway towards Santa Marta, continue on the Santa Marta – Riohacha road, and look for the hotel signage near Quebrada Valencia.
